Threshold
...These photos represent traditions that took thousands of years to develop, whether gargoyles, iron bars, lace curtains or mosaics, they speak of culture and art.
In Florence, a city with a long tradition of art, a sign above the door at the Il Ghiro hostel says: "Art is where you least expect to find it." Thresholds are art. The obvious is sometimes what we appreciate least. Welcome to my threshold. John Kessell. September 2006
