"In my painting practice I explore the themes of light, space, movement and growth. I also endeavor to share my vision, imagination, observations and insights with the viewer. My investigations have included the nature of trees, abstracted them, revealing their cellular structure and history, from tree, to pulp to paper. In my photographic series, I combined a painting entitled "Northern Lights" in which I used iridescent paint and exploited its reflective nature to create my painterly musical instruments in a surreal manner. In my flower series, I focused on the abstract shapes and the flower's reaching for the light. My recent Northern Lights series of paintings continues to investigate the properties of iridescent paint while celebrating the phenomenon of solar winds as they are attracted to the magnetic fields of the earth in the Polar regions.
