An award winning artist, her passions for life, people and travel can be seen in her colourful and dramatic paintings. Hardworking women and the elderly are among many themes which capture her artistic imagination. Working from nature towards abstraction, her mission is to always leave something to the imagination.
She completed 4 years at the Ontario College of Art, and studied at the Haliburton School of Fine Arts, Seneca & George Brown Colleges and Belles Artes Institute in San Miguel, Mexico. From Westport, Ontario, her art is often inspired by this beautiful Canadian Shield locale.
Shirley’s paintings are in collections in United States and Canada. She has completed portraits of homes and storefronts and welcomes further commissions. She is a member of the Rideau Lakes Artists Association, and CARFAC.
