Andrew Neil Olscher is a professional Canadian artist and writer living near Lakefield, Ontario. His bold thickly textured, acrylic paintings, which he calls “ecoscapes”, have been shown and purchased by private and corporate collectors and galleries locally and internationally. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Queen’s University and was a scholarship winner to the Banff School of Fine Arts.
Andrew’s trademark, colourful acrylic paintings have been presented in Toronto as a part of ArtCanadiana.com’s “Group of Eleven”, at the “Village of Hope” in association with the United Nation’s conference on small island development in Barbados and at the Toronto International Art Festival.
Over the past fourteen years his work has also been exhibited in a variety of group shows which have included such noted artists as Ken Danby, Berge Missakian Fred Hagan, Brent Townsend, Michael Dumas, Toni Onley and Canadian Art Partners. A large selection of Andrew’s paintings can be viewed at Queen’s University which holds a sizable collection featured in various locations, including The Faculties of Law, Education, Arts and Science, School of Business, Department of Advancement and School of Music.
